It’s no surprise that one of my favorite parts about a wedding is bridal prep. Why? Because not only does it set my creative tone for the day, but it also is a time of excitement, anticipation, and overall fun with your girls. My brides know after reading the education I provide them with, how to make this portion of the day the most efficient for both of us, which in turn makes all parties happy + prepared. As I always say, preparation is the key to success!

So what’s one thing you can do to make the process run smoothly for your photographer? Make a list of the bridal prep details you want photographed, place them in one specific area (a box, or a bag), and hand them over to your maid of honor. This way when your photographer enters the room, your maid of honor knows exactly what your photographer needs and can hand everything over in quick swift motion. Why do this? Simply because your bridal prep time should be a time where you are relaxed and are mentally prepping for the big day ahead. As your photographer, I personally don’t want to interrupt that flow when I first arrive, and if everything is prepared in a designated area, I won’t have to. You can enjoy being pampered, while I can get started on visually beginning to capture the first few detailed chapters of your wedding day love story.
