Jordan + Dyllan, Rustic Autumn Ranch Wedding, Othello, WA

This wedding was featured on Ruffled.

It’s been said that it was the wedding of the season, and as a true romantic I can vouch this statement is one hundred percent accurate. Jordan and Dyllans wedding at the Rustic Eagle Lakes Ranch in Othello Washington will forever be treasured in the hearts of all those whom had the privilege to attend. Why? Because it’s not everyday you are a witness to true, authentic, raw, magical love. You know the one novelists write books about, poems write sonnets about, and musicians pen hits about, that’s the kind of rare and unique bond these two souls share for one another.

As a photographer what captured my heart more than words or pixels could articulate, was the moments shared between Jordan and Dyllan during their first vow “no looking” read. That moment will forever be engraved in my brain as one of the most romantic moments I’ve had the privilege of witnessing. As tears were shed, hands were held, and words were read in silence – you could almost physically feel the nerves ease and the realization set in that forever, was just on the other side of the door.

“One look at you, my whole life falls in line, I prayed for you…before I called you mine,” were the words that were sung as Jordan made her way down the aisle to Dyllan, where you could find almost everyone present with tissues in hand.  As the ceremony commenced and the sun set in Othello, friends and family recited speeches and danced the night away.  When the evening drew to a close, guests lit up paper lanterns and sent them into the starry night sky with well wishes for the couple.

Jordan and Dyllan, what a privilege it’s been capturing these moments for you.  From our first session out at the sand dunes, to Leavenworth, to exciting announcements, and now your most special day, it truly has been such an honor to be a witness to such a beautiful and selfless love, one that gives hope and new meaning to life. I cannot wait to see the beautiful chapters that are yet to be written in your love story, and wish you nothing but the best in both your first year of marriage and the years to come. Thank you, thank you, thank you for allowing me to document these pivotal memories in your life.

[…] Capturing raw emotion is more and more becoming the focal point in my imagery and I’m loving it. When your couples completely let loose and enjoy the moment it allows for one of a kind imagery that I’m so gosh darn pumped about. One of my favorite moments from this session was when Tina and Trevor busted out the flour and went to TOWN throwing it at one another and having a full on flour war. By far the coolest moment I’ve shot to date. Tina actually happens to be a videographer here in Eastern Washington, and we recently got to work with one another on Jordan and Dyllan’s wedding which you can see here. […]
